The active Human-AI Systems ground is pure white. Warm off-white may remain inside frozen historical files as evidence, but it is not the desired default for new authored surfaces. If a future surface wants warmth, it needs a dated Human Natalie ruling.

The two accents are not interchangeable. Yellow is the live cue: bars, arrows, hover wipes, progress, and threshold signal. Gold is quieter: citation keys, record labels, counters, archival metadata, and source-state markings.

The type system is simple because each family has a job. Playfair carries voice and thought. Barlow Condensed labels structure. IBM Plex Mono preserves record, hash, custody, and technical state.
Display tightens.
Labels widen. Body reads.
The old draft’s “nothing sits at zero” was too broad. The better law is role-specific: display serif tightens, structural labels widen, and body text stays readable. Readability wins over tension in paragraphs.
Three weights.
Each means something.
Borders are part of the grammar. A black wall closes or opens a major surface. A grey rule separates internal parts. A yellow line signals action, threshold, or attention.
One curve.
One gesture.
Motion stays restrained. Use one easing curve, the yellow wipe, active-state shifts, and a soft reveal only when it clarifies movement. Every animated pattern must have a reduced-motion fallback.
- Curve: cubic-bezier(.4,0,.2,1).
- Gesture: yellow enters from the left and inverts black-on-yellow.
- Fallback: prefers-reduced-motion disables animation without hiding content.
Modular by function.
Never cloned blindly.
This lattice supports modularization. Blocks are chosen because they perform a job, not because a prior page had them.
